Today the business starts work on a 2 month out of hours project that we designed and specified for a Sunderland seaside entertainment venue back in April.

• Internal Re-Wire and deployment of an 8 point Cat5e Gigabit network
• Deployment of two high specification Wireless Access Points to public areas
• Ubiquiti Unifi Firewall/Router deployment
• Ubiquiti Unifi network switch deployments
• Deployment of VLANs and integration with existing CCTV network
• Technical Documentation
• Integration with existing POS network infrastructure

A follow up project will be to remove any remaining PSTN lines from the venue and ensure all voice and data circuits are migrated onto the upgraded digital Internet connection in time for BTs PSTN/IDSN switch off in 2025

Happy 2nd Birthday to Task Force 42!. The business is going strong and we have enjoyed another year of solving our clients IT problems. We look forward to working with exsiting and new clients for the remainder of 2023 and throughout 2024.

Task Force 42 is working with an existing client to architect a new interim virtualised platform to host a bespoke payments tracking and integration platform to meet vendor support requirements. The system uses a mixture of modern and legacy technologies:

• Remote Desktop Services (RDS) Server
• Windows Server Datacenter Edition
• SQL Server
• Legacy Microsoft FoxPro client apps

The new interim solution is scheduled to go live in 2024 and will be used as a launchpad for further migrating the system to a new and more modern SaaS solution

Out of hours work for an existing nightlife client saw Task Force 42 complete the following works:

• Diagnose and fix of VoIP connectivity issues related to SIP/ALG routing on a firewall
• Deployment of a Ubiquiti U-LTE-Pro UniFi Redundant WAN PRO over 4G LTE
• On site diagnosis and recovery of an entertainment music platform
